Top Modern Fibre Laser Cutter
At NMV in Luleå our state of the art fibre laser cutting machine is now in full operation. The machine is unique in its kind with a shuttle table that takes sheets up to 4 x 2 m and a capacity to cut up to 20 mm thicknes in normal steel. With future updates it will be possible to cut in even thicker materials.
The fibre laser cutter, which is delivered by Bystronic Scandinavia, is of the model Bystronic BySprint Fibre 4020 6 kW and has a great cutting speed of up to 50 metres per minute. The machine cuts in all conductive materials.
The machine offers high cutting speed and extreme precision and strengthens the NMV Group’s modern machine park, which already includes advanced machinery such as punch presses and plasma cutters.
“With this investment in machinery, we expand further our ability to offer high quality products at a competitive price, both to the private consumption sector and to the industry,” said Peter Johansson, CEO of NMV in Luleå.
Nitrogen Plant
The company has also invested in a nitrogen plant from Atlas Copco which has been delivered and installed by ITSAB in Luleå. The plant generates the nitrogen which is consumed by the fibre laser cutter during the cutting process. To produce the gas on-site is a better alternative, both with regards to safety and the environment.
